hey all. Love the forum. There was no such thing as this or internet when i started 15 years ago on my project. I built two layouts, one HO Scale on a 4X8, and one N Scale on a small platform board, dont remember the measurements.
Anyways,
I am selling off my N Scale stuff. I've got several locomotives (more than 5), and lots of freight and passenger cars, probably more than 15 total. Also there is a bunch of track, straights, curves, re-railers, switches etc. Not sure what all is there, and some buildings with wired lights in them. Some telephone poles also.
This stuff has been in a box, for at least 10 years. Most of the trains still have their original boxes, but a few do not. I went through an took a estimate on dollar amount, as some of the boxes still have the price tag, some do not and some or illegible. There's more than $1,200 worth of locos and cars, plus whatever is in the track and buildings. And as we know, trains only gain value over the years, and these still look like BRAND NEW!
So i'm not too sure what to ask. I was thinking at least $600 Cash. not sure what it's all worth.
Sorry, no pics yet, i still have to take stuff out of the box and lay it out for pics. Wanted to get this ad up ASAP! So i will post pics sometime in the next couple days. for now, make me an offer, there's alot of stuff here, and you could easily make a really nice layout with it. NO TRANSFORMER/CONTROLLER or controlling accessories, this is JUST the trains, track, and buildings.
MINT CONDITION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
price is $600 cash, buyer responsible for pick up/shipping etc.
MOTIVATED TO SELL, NEED THE MONEY TO INVEST IN MY NEW HO SCALE SET UP.
thanks all!

good luck with your sale. pictures are essential.

also consider who you target as buyer. package will be of interest to re-saler (but will pay minimall price for your items). chances are modeller will have interest in only few items. so in order for you to maximize revenue i'd consider selling individual items as well.
but its your stuff, soo...

OK so i got a couple emails already, which is AWEOSME. So here's some info on the stuff, took some pics too. thanks everyone!
No transformers with it. the one i had will not work anymore, i guess its just too old, so i got rid of it a while ago.
as far as inventory, i have enclosed a few pics. sorry bout the overall size of them. It's all diesel, no steam stuff. a few box cars, a few flatbed with a semi trailer, and some others, see the pics.
hard to tell what i got for track, i took a picture of the track i have as well. looking at the pics i see 5 pieces of flex track, at least 6 straight sections, about 4 switches, two left two right i think, 2 bumpers, several curved sections (i think these were 18" radius, but could be 22). also in the pic theres a bag with track, i didnt even open it to take a count of whats in it.
buildings,
1 fire station, 1 hardware store/hotel, 1 train station, 1 burned down church (i dont know why, but thats what it looks like to me, this is not a reflection in any way of my religious beliefs), 1 country style home, 1 old house that was modeled as an abandoned residence.
i can tell you that of the cars and locos i can read the tag on, most of them were between $40 and $90 each when i got them 13 years ago. I didnt really use them much, they have alot of dust on them, mostly the buildings, from sitting in the box. i think i ran the stuff for a total of maybe 10 hours. :)
Let me know what you think. It's just taking up space, i'm sure you or anyone else would have a better use for it than me letting them sit in the box.
