Does anyone know of a replacement for the NCE COILDED CABLE manufactured by someone else. I have gone through a couple of them....my fault...always tugging a bit too hard. But if there were another manufacturer making them a bit stronger, that would be great. Seems so similar to telephone cables, there has got to be something out there.
Thanks.

Have you checked the electrical supply department of
Home Depot or Lowe's? I was able to replace my
coiled cable for the Bachmann EZ computer cables
that they stock. Take your coiled cable and compare
the end plugs with those available. It seems to me
that all DCC brands use the same cabling.

suggest you get a telephone cable crimp tool and some rj-12 connectors.
2nd this! It's much easier and far cheaper to make your own. Add to that, that you will make custom lengths to fit your particular application!

I still have tons of cable and connectors from my initial purchase of 100 feet of bare cable, along with 100 connectors.. I think I spent 20.00 on Amazon, 30 at the most..

Get a good crimper, though. Spend the extra few dollars and get one that will do a good job and last, not a $2.99 special from Billy Bob's Bargain Barn. That would almost guarantee electrical issues you'd pull your hair out trying to find!
