i checked that stuff, im thinking about just opening the thing up. i know there cheap, but the cheapest one is the one i dont have to buy. it was like, $24 back in 2000.
On EBay the base ones that come in kits go for $5 or less + shipping. My local hobby shop sells the Bachmann ones for around $30. These are just the real basic ones though.

You could have an electrical short across the track. You only have one transformer:eek: That's makes it hard to troubleshoot. MRC is dependable. No offense but I think it is the operator. Just my guess but what do I know. All my strange problems were related to screwdivers or bolts laying around in the wrong place.
CHECK your terminals you are not wired to acessories are You?

Too bad you can't switch it out then you would know for sure.
