HI
I just put a new digitrax basic decoder in an sw7. I know evans designs has them, but what size do I need. I guess they are already rigged with all necessary things and wiring. Is the daylight one better for newer diesels?
Thanks
Bill

I use Evandesigns LEDs for all my refits. I prefer the Warm White as it matches all my other tungsten stuff. As far as prototypical lighting, you are correct about modern locomotives. The tracks near my house run FEC diesels for freight and Brightline commuter trains. The freights are definitly warm while the Brightlines are definitely daylight. Especially the large square light right in the nose. I can tell which is coming based on the lights from literally a mile away (it's real flat here in Florida).
