Big Ed,

Doesn't that little chopper exactly match the REAL chopper that you have that takes you out to your BIG HUGE YACHT that we saw in the NJ thread? Now you have a little one, and a big one!

(Nice find!)

WHOA!!! Talk about weird!!
I'm putting the finishing touches on this 1/48 scale OH-58.

Jody

Nice!
Are you putting the Lionel tag on it?

I take it that was a kit?
If so who makes the kit?

Ed, sure was, "fast!"

Why don't you see if T-Man would make you some battery powered, blinking lights to install in it, and then hang it over your layout.:D

I haven't seen the t man post for a while?

It's all ready cruising over the layout. But I used too heavy fishing line and you can see it. I got to dig out some 2lb test.
It's smaller then 1/48 scale. I think it's 1/43 scale. But it still looks good over the layout.
It would make a nice flatbed load too.

I am still here. I haven't melted yet. Work is taking up more time. Long hours, actually I just got up.
Somehow, I missed why helicopters are special?

Fancy flashing landing pads can be made. With a sequencer it can flash like a blinking eye. I still haven't got to the arc welder yet.

I am not sure it is large enought to hold a 9 volt battery. Is it?
Flashers would be cool.

Nope, won't be putting a Lionel tag on it.
It's an old Heller 1/48 scale kit.(Actually 1/50)
It was built as a Firebomber spotter, I never even knew Lionel made one, especially in those colors!!

Jody
They were made by Taylor but licensed by Lionel.
The orange is cast, the blue is plastic.

I found this on them, http://www.tcaetrain.org/articles/reviews/taylor/index.html
I don't know how old the writeup is.

It looks like I could have got 2 for $20 bucks plus shipping.

Oh well I am still happy with what I got.:D
