I am very close to this short line yet had never heard of it. According to the video the B23-7 high hood engine is 1 of only 4 in the world.

This mine operation and short line engines would make a great addition to any layout. I like the white and blue paint scheme of the Lhoist North America engines.

I am a huge fan of the SD40-2 diesel engines and always have been. Apparently the B23-7 high hood is the rarest of all GE locomotives again with only 4 in existence. I found this information/video interesting so I thought I would pass it on.

If you are interested there are several videos on youtube about this mine railroad. You can look up Delay in Block productions on youtube. They have made several videos of the Lhoist mine and some great videos of Norfolk Southern, Southern Railway, and CSX around Oakdale, Harriman, and up through Clinton and on to Knoxville. They also have a some great videos of other short lines up north.
