The Northern Pacific is one of my favorite RR's. A number of my relatives have worked for the NP over the past decades, so I guess it is in the blood.

Anyways a few photos of Northern Pacific locos that have traveled the rails of the S&Y RR.

No NP on my pike, but the light green/dark green is one of my favorite color schemes. This might be considered blasphemy for a Pennsy guy, but the GG1 looks good in it. I don’t recall ever seeing some of the other color schemes.

NP has some great paint schemes. The F units at the top, are really attractive. I also like the later black yellow and red Hood diesel schemes. I have been hunting for a NP Geep 7 or 9 in the yellow and black scheme, for a while. There is an RS11 available in that scheme, so I may end up with that...

Tom, I have the Lionel NP RS-11 with TMCC / RS and it is a very solid runner.

Mine too, Bill! I only have one ABBA F7 set to pull a MTH and K-Line passenger sets. I need an F3 set at least!
