I came across this set recently, It was baught for my brother in the late 50s The maker was Gilbert an "American Flyer Train set" S Guage. Its in the original box and includes the "Erie" Locomotive, and Coal car, the "Mounds" advertisment box car, in white, a green "Texas & Pacific Gondola car, and a Red Caboose. It runs on 10 track sections, one has decupler. I'm not sure if there is any interest in such an old train.

Flyer Hi-Rail S has an older following because it hasn't been produced since 1960. If you are looking to sell it, I would recommend researching ebay...

It would be the best place to get the best price for what you have. Apart from rare pieces, they do not have a high value---many are in fact cannibalized into other models by those in S scale.
