Old Walthers Kits

Just found out while putting together an older Walthers kit (53 ft GN flat car), the parts sprues have "Made in Denmark" stamped on them.....

I never knew that, before China, Denmark was making model train stuff.... who knew....

My family is half of Danish heritage, so I'm always interested in anything Dansk.
My paternal grandfather's father emigrated from Denmark in 1894.
Walther's kits used to be produced in Denmark, but then production moved to China. I have read, on various forums, that the Chinese kits tend to have issues with the plastic warping while the older Danish kits do not. I have the Champion Packing Company kit. Mine was produced in Denmark, and I had no issues with the fit of the parts.
