I just make sure that I never touch something I am painting with my bare hands again once the bare shell has been watched... When I am ready for the next coat, I just blow any contaminants off with compressed air... But this is just me :dunno:

Once the boiler has been stripped, sanded, buffed, and primed, do you wipe it down between coats of finish with anything to remove and fingerprints/oils?
