This was not my collection, it was given to me. I had trains as a kid and probably will get some again when my kids have moved out. Until then space and a few bucks is currently needed.

I came here first because I know good forums when I see them, and I would personally rather sell them to people who want them at a fair price verses listing them to ebay. Also knowing that what I have is going to someone who appreciates it and will use it is worth a few bucks I might make by selling to highest bidder.

This a set that is centered around a Philadelphia theme train wise. Many pieces are still in original container as this is whats left of a previous build somewhat, and start of a new larger build.

I have I believe 70 pieces pictured here in my photobucket account. I have some things in the album labeled, some not. I do have all of it on a handwritten list. Some pieces will not be separated.

There is quite a bit more, including a crate of track, and about 5-6 more un-opened life-like scenes, some electrical track stuff, bunch of magazines and books, simple wooden bridges, landscaping stuff..etc etc. My camera battery died but I have a list.

I don't necessarily have a set price on any particular item, and for the short term will consider first come first fair offer wins. I say this because if you are interested in buying a few pieces for like a package deal I don't want to cut out a person because they only want 1 particular piece.

I also don't honestly know what every little thing is actually worth, I'm counting on a bit of honesty from more knowledgeable train people. I'm also a highly skilled craftsman by trade so I know what crap is vs something good.

Please post here or send me pm with either the picture or description of what your interested in. Shipping is your dime.

If I do sell things to a good home here, I will have no problem making a donation to the forum to help support your hobby. I might need some good advice from here in 2025.:)

Thank you.

Welcome...appreciate the kind words about this forum. If I can be of any help, feel free to PM me. Those GG1s are sweet and that Tyco IC Alco is quite the piece. Does it have the handrails?

Toolman,

Just wanted to say that the intent and attitude behind your introduction and offering seems about as "straight shooter" as it gets. Thanks for jumping in here on our forum, and I trust that you'll find some good interest and happy homes for the trains amongst our guys here.

Best wishes to you,

TJ

Thanks very much.

Sorry I'm pretty green on all of the exact lingo is..I looked guessing you meant the Tyco engine that is long, orange and has illinois central gulf on the side..no hand rails. unless they are in a couple cigar boxes with stray parts/pieces I also have.

I actually only have the 1 GG1 that is part of the set. I took a separate picture of it because it is mint condition. The detail on it is fascinating. I actually opened that set myself last year.. I had to try one of them out when I got all this stuff.;) Still have the box.

There are a few things that I took couple pics of such as shell tanker..one side is much cleaner than the other side.

I would also like to add that I have not checked every engine to verify that it works..but now that I have everything better organized it would be easy for me to test any one of them.
