Hello:

Will the PECO 10E point motor (extended pin) mount directly under the point with the tabs in the premade sleeper holes the PECO track has like the PL10... ?

I have some ordered and have decided it would be easier for me to mount the motor directly under the track...I realise I will have to trim the pin but am hoping they attach to the sleeper holes already there just like the PL10 which is the same point motor with shorter pin...

Please tell me if this works as I ordered a BUNCH of the PL10E (extended pin) now...

I think the PL10E are the same as a PL10 but with a longer pin.
You should be able to mount them the same way.

PECO actually wrote me back saying they are the same as well!

Yes, the PL10E has tabs that fit in slots of
the Peco turnout. Bend the tabs over to lock
it in place. Cut off the excess pin. I suggest
that you solder 'pig tails' to the PL10 terminals
before installing. That will make under table
wiring easier.

Obviously, you will have to 'dig' an appropriate
size 'hole' under the turnout to accomodate the
PL10.

If you haven't yet ordered the PL10Es get the
PL10s (NO E). You won't have to cut the pins.

For sure i will have the wires soldered on the motors before I put them under the track (pig tails)
Yes I ordered them already so I will just cut the pins no problem!
