My wife found on her Regal app that The Polar Express was coming back to the big screen. It looks as if it will only be one day at each theater. Mine is Dec 14 at 1:00 PM in Gainesville, VA. We grabbed 4 tickets for me, my wife, my daughter and her BFF. The tickets were only $5 each!!!

The movie has been on TV quite a bit. Why would you go to a theater to pay to see it?
Cuz some movies are really fun when you make it an experience. My daughter and I love the movie.Frank

Because no home theater, no matter how awesome, can match the size and sound of a theater. All our local theaters now "luxury seating" that's about as comfortable as anything I have at home.
That said, I thought the movie was very "meh". The book on which it is based is so simple and pure (I read it to my boys every Christmas, even though they are in high school and college now), and Hollywood thought they could improve on it. Nope.
