Hi All,

As a newbie, I'm looking for advice on making my future large HO layout portable for moving to a new home. It could be years away, but I like to plan ahead. Specifically, how can one easily break track at table joints and keep terrain joints somewhat invisible? Does one simply slide the large table sections together and line up the tiny rail splices?

Thanks,
George

Some use sectional track at the joints, ending the regular track 4 1/2" from the end. Then they just slide them in. Others end right up to the joint, using jumper cables to go from one section to the next. It really depends on how comfortable you are with your carpentry.
