i have a trainmaster control remote that works my train and broke the grond tab off the the plug end... is this necessary to have and use... my train isnt working correctly and went to the train store and they cant order any... radio shack or any similar stores dont carry the 3 prong plug just the 2 prong... any ideas on locating one or where to get it? have to have my train working at x-mas...lol to wake up the kids...haha (my tradition) any help would be awesome.

A hardware store would carry a three prong replacement plug. These are heavy enough for power tools. I cut them off stuff I throw out and save them for times like these. Any old computer cords around?.

Before you cut the plug off, bare the wires and mark them if they are not color coded. Make sure the wires go to the correct prong. Today a lot of products need the third plug to operate.

Dump run with some wire cutters.
