Is an MTH proto one electro-coupler compatible with a Lionel TMCC control circuit board: does it have the same electrical requirements as a Lionel or K-Line electro-coupler? Any answers this question will be greatly appreciated!

Yes, proto-1 electrocouplers work fine with TMCC boards. You do not need to change the couplers when converting a proto-1 engine to TMCC.

When you're checking, simply measure the resistance of the coupler. PS/1 and TMCC couplers are in the 6-8 ohm range, and PS/2-PS/3 couplers are in the 2-3 ohm range. If it measures less than 5 ohms, do not connect it to a TMCC board, it will likely cook the triac.
