Good price
Typical Atlas Gold quality.

Superb detail... Scale handrails. Wire grabs. Excellent runner. Very quiet Kato(?) drive. Strong puller.

This will be consisted with an older 2015(?) Atlas Gold 'silver-nose', for light and 'fast freight' service.

The New Haven railroad was responsible for fostering my love affair with this locomotive profile.
The RS-3's Alco sound and their orange, black & green paint scheme branded themselves on the inside of my forehead.
I mostly saw them from the highway on shunt-duties, but occasionally I'd see them pulling short freights to and from Hartford or Springfield.
They've been an all-time favorite ever since.

Atlas chose to replicate the 'road helper service' SP version with short-hood forward. The switcher version was long-hood forward.

SP actually had these in seven different paint schemes through the years... Black Widow, Silver Nose, Halloween, Tiger Stripe, (two variants) and two variants of Bloody Nose.
