Very cool. I was at Menard's this morning and I looked at their freight cars. They seemed bigger (a little more scale sized than I remembered). I didn't have anything to compare them too though. I don't need any rolling stock but for less than $20, I was still tempted.

Received an e-mail from Menards that my internet order was delivered to the local store. Probably head over there tomorrow for a few things, pick up the internet order and check out the train aisle.

I have about 60 of the Menard's boxcars. If I tried to put them all in one consist, I'm pretty sure that couplers would give way! The rolling resistance seems to limit them to around 35-40 cars before you have coupler issues. I tried 45 and a caboose at one of our modular shows, but coupler problems forced me down to around 35 cars for reliable running.

One of these days I will hook up a bunch of Menards boxcars and see how many I can pull before something gives away. Probably use one of my MTH ABA's with 4 motors.

My VL-BB had no problem pulling the entire consist, but the couplers kept coming open, that was what limited the length of the consist.
