I happened to be awake and watching Antiques Roadshow the
other night and saw the model Pullman observation coach with a$15,000 appraisal. It was certainly of museum quality and one that any railroad museum would be glad to display and have in their collection. The former empoyees of the Pullman Company
that may still be around would have appreciated seeing this
model and being reminded of their many contributions to the
railroads of america and around the world.

Never seen the detail the builder put into that car. It's a shame that it is starting to deteriorate. And rapidly.
I hope that guy restores it, now that he knows its value.
(Or would that reduce its value)

I don't know, Ron. Yes, the car has some deterioration. However, it's ALL original. If any restoration work were done, one would ultimately be changing the original material of the model. In valuing stuff like this, original condition/paint/etc. is often the key to a high appraisal value.
