After I gave up trying to install the metal apron, I found a place to buy plastic replacement aprons. Look great and fits perfectly:)

Before I try and glue it on, anyone have a suggestion about what type of glue to use?

It's going on the 208 that was so badly chipped, scratched and in need of a new paint job/decal set.

I stripped it down just like the thread that was posted. Came out clean and ready for a new life:D

If room behind (as T-Man suggests), I've had good results with JB-Weld two-part epoxy, available at most hardware stores. It's pretty thick, as far as epoxies go, bonds reasonable well to metals and plastics, and can be Dremel-sanded down when cured.
