Well looks like I will be at home for the next month (till at least april 30th). I started ordering parts today.
1. 20 shoulder brushes
2. 20 brush springs
3. 10 Lionel 27 ohm smoke resistors (they work good for me)

Tomorrow I will give Jeff Kane at The Train Tender a call and order some parts from him.
1. At least 10 of the metal spacers for side rods. Replacing the fiber ones.
2. At least 10 of each size of side rod screws. So 20 new screws. Just to spiff up some engines.
3 1 used wheel with square stud.
4. 2 alco AC motor brushes.
5. 4 Diesel traction tires.
6. 20 black screws ( I need to look up part numbers)
7. 10 front pilot wheels springs ( they really work)
8. 10 rivets for front pilot wheels
9. 5 short drawbar screws
10. 5 long drawbar screws

I need to write these down so I don't forget when talking to Jeff.

I'd call that hoarding. But I know you'll be using them ALL shortly.
I had an order into Portlines early March b4 Doug was going on a 50th anniversary cruise. I got my parts. I wonder if he ever sailed. This was right b4 Coronus.

I tried to get my wife to go on a cruise before she died but she refused. She said you will get sick.
Cruise ships were having sick passengers 7 or 8 years ago and it has not stopped. Too many people,
too small of area.

I was checking out cruise ship prices. I was curious as to price drops.
I never had a desire to go on a cruise ship after I found out that you can't fish off the back.:)
One thing I found out is that they offer NUDE cruises !
That "aroused" my interest a little in taking a cruise.
A whole ship of nude people, ha ha ha never knew that.
I still have no desire to take a cruise, like said, people have been getting sick for a while now.
Legionnaires disease and God knows what else.
No thanks.

That should keep you busy for a spell mopac. Of course, you still need to get going on the layout! Now seems to be a perfect time to get building.

I received my box of parts from Jeff Kane the same day we got sent home from work to shelter in place. I've still got a ways to go with my repairs but it's been keeping me busy. Most of it was for a postwar set I've been reviving for my dad's boss, but also quite a few parts for my own projects. I also had to make a few quick orders from Henning's Trains through their eBay store to get a few things I forgot to order from Jeff. It's nice to have projects to keep busy with. I went from trying to finish up my list of maintenance tasks on the full size equipment I work on to being stuck at home doing the same thing in 1:48ish scale 😄

Mopac,
Your order looks very similar to mine from Jeff. Glad I got mine already, tho' I think he has a good inventory.
Trouble now is that the landscape, garden stuff is begining to compete with the train repair / maintenance. I guess that is what evenings are for.

Big Ed I once won a cruise ship trip to the Bahamas. Nothing I would do again especially now days. Too much humanity confined in a small space even though this cruise ship was 10 or 11 stories as I recall. Princess something or other. My late wife was an RN and wasn't too pleased about going since she knew about the contagious disease possibilities. I spent most of my time in the casino at the Black Jack tables. Did very well.
Oh and everybody had their clothes on.

There are alternative "cruises" out there with limited capacity. Some of the unique ones are in a tall ship where you're part of the crew and small windjammers.
