If you strip it ,it may just come off. If not, just repaint and aftert the shell is done. It's only a horn a small brush will paint it up. If metal, a dremel will strip off new paint if you do not cover it.
Thanks for replying T-Man, but it was metal, corroded and racked. I just now finished getting it off. Used a set of heavy wire cutters. Worked around the base like I was cutting pipe. Then all I had to do was push thru. No damage to the roof.
