I have a Lionel 8101 Chicago & Alton Hudson Locomotive which uses a "Sound of Steam" connection. However, the cable end is broken (the male end). I was wondering where I can find a replacement that I can repair this train?

I have attached a photo of the Lionel service manual showing the type of connector I need.

Thank you!

Surprisingly, they look like standard 1/4 or 1/8" quick connects, you probably can find something suitable at Home Depot. Or almost anywhere with electrical hardware...

The part number is 690-8142-T24 from the train tender. Male connector.
690 (pre war parts) 8141-59. Female connector
Look up on Lionel Supplement 1-9
Page 4-1 has the SOS tenders with the art list. These are the last two items listed
