I've got a junker Chattanooga tender drive and one of the brushes is missing. I stuck a copper wire in there and the motor jinked, so I'm hopeful it will work otherwise. Where can I get the brush material? It is a .15" cylinder.
I suggest just getting another tender for parts. One good reason for choosing a brand is knowing if the company still supplies parts or if a secondary supplier exists.
You aren't going to believe this, but I did a search on "Tyco electric motor brush" and the first thing that came up was a replacement set on Epay. Sooo, problem solved.
