Head scratcher question ...

I'm interested to see if you Lionel / O types have posted anything in the past on Lionel's post-war 221 steam loco. "Do a search," I thought. However, when I try to run a search on "221" or "Lionel 221", the search engine replies:

"The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search: 221"

(I get a billion returns on "Lionel", but nothing for 221.)

Any suggestions on how one could search (successfully) for a specific "few-digit" phrase? I tried putting the 221 in quotes ("221"), and also surrounding it with spaces (<space>221<space>), but no luck.

Not the end of the world for me, of course, but if any of you have any tips, I'd certainly welcome them.

Thanks!

B&M ... Thanks for the news (though disappointing) on the forum search limits. Too bad there's not some way to force a "small string" search in quotes, etc. Oh well ... no biggie.

T-Man ... Thanks for the tip on giving Postwar Collector a shout ... I pinged him for any thoughts on a 221 via a Visitor Message.

Much appreciated, guys!

Gents,

IT'S CHRISTMAS!!! Thanks VERY much for changing the settings accordingly. With so much of train I.D. info tied to car/loco numbers, and many of them only 3-digits (notoriously old Lionels), this forum tweak will really help me and others find/focus in on threads and info pertaining to specific models ... like my #249 and my (hopeful) #221.

(Someday I'll graduate up to the "big leagues" with a 4-digit loco of my own!)

Thanks again ... very helpful!
