Happy January,

It is time to pass on to the next care taker of this Life-Like Products N-Scale "Train In A Box" - Starter Set.

I purchased it a few years ago for my daughter who was jealous of her older brother's O-scale train.

She is now done with it and wants one like her brother... :appl:

~34" x 23" x 5"

Comes with rolling stock and engine not original to set....

Power Pack
*Atlas #48534 GP-40 Diesel engine.
*Illinois Central Gulf Hopper with half capacity of BB's glued in by previous owner. :dunno:
*AT&SF Caboose

*Horn Hook Style Couplers

Compact enough for someone's DIY project into a coffee table.

Shallow and small enough to fit under a twin size IKEA bed.

Chris.

I briefly flirted with N scale when I was a kid and had already started with HO at the time.

The difference in detail and availability in the '70's was not enough for me to switch over to N. At the time I realized how much more layout I could build with N scale, but it wasn't worth the sacrifice of detail and visual impact of a larger scale.

Things have changed in the last 50 years with N scale, but the size remains the same.
