Well I'm new here and this isn't really a question about trains but I figured ask the people who using the product the most. For my hobby I customize Mcfarlane sportspicks, for who don't know what there are there six inch tall sports figures and I repaint them to certain players. When you purchase them they give you a plastic textured base colored like grass but I want to make it a little more realistic. I was doing some searching on the internet and came across this stuff called static grass. I've never seem this stuff before so I was hoping someone could give me some pointers on how it works, best place to get it, what I need to apply it, and if it's to scale for a six inch figure. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

As far as I know, it's model grass that is applied to the model electro statically using an electrical charge. Noch (European) brand make a kit for this but it is super pricey at $150 or so. If you are skilled enough you can make your own electrostatic applicator with a 12v car battery... At your own risk of course. :D

It's more advantageous for people needing to cover large amounts of their layouts with scenery; from what I gather this is a very small area? Any pics you could show would be helpful too.
