Was that a set that was once offered by Bachmann years ago? I recall seeing something like that.

Does the Bachmann Dewitt Clinton use a similar motor?

Bachmann sold sets that were made by other companies. I have the Orient Express set they put out some 30 years ago. The engine and cars were made by Joeuf. The track and transformer were made by Bachmann...

Chops's Folly

Trying to fit an AHM switcher chassis
into the coach of the Triang Rocket in hopes of
making it a push/pull for the Rocket consist.
The worm fits the gear well enough, but the motor
sticks a few millimeters above the roof line.

I got hold of a smaller motor, but its worm is too
small.

This Hornby reissue is not cheap, but for a First Gen
fan it may prove irresistible. I hope it does not have
the same useless motor as the Bachmann DeWitt,
and the old Triang motor wasn't very good either. Thanks
for the update, I was not aware.
