The Railroad Museum of PA is across the road from the depot. They are open Tuesday 9-5, closed New Year's day; open Thursday - Saturday 9-5 and Sunday 12-5. Definitely worth a visit. The Strasburg does operate freight trains on an as-needed basis. A phone call might give you some insight. Most likely diesel-powered.

The house tour includes admission to the farm grounds. At this time of yest I'm not sure the bus tours are worth it. You see the same thing just driving around the back roads.

Recommended place to eat: Bird in Hand Family Restaurant
Oregon Dairy Farm Restaurant

Check out the Bird in Hand Bake shop across from the restaurant.
