That's funny. Bob and I were just talking about turn radius on my thread.

So these longer trains with the 6-wheels, how much of a turn can they make without tipping over, or without the trucks beating up the underside of the engines. Is there a general rule?

Thanks for helping us both out, Bob.

Nicholas.

22"r for 6-wheel truck engines is just about the minimum with 24"r+ being much better. I have some 16"r turns om my layout but try my best to keep the BIG engines on the main which has a 26"r as the tightest turn. The smaller radii are reserved for locals and smaller engines and switchers.
