That is one beautiful engine. I've spent hours on the internet looking for one, but not one single one available in HO. I'm not surprised. I think they were probably sold out before he passed, but if not, I would think they would be gone very quickly.

Union Pacific did themselves proud on their execution from the time they originally painted the engine through the trip to the burial site. It resulted in a true public relations dream. It was really awesome to see those gorgeous yellow cars passing slowly through the Texas countryside.

BTW, StevieWonder787, your photos are excellent+. Just the right composition with the heads in the foreground, but the train being allowed to dominate. Really nice.

There was also a "practice train" ... unnannouced.
Sneaked up on me. He was doing 50mph or so. I didn't even get an accurate car count. But I can confirm some of it though.
