I spent 15 of my 24 years US Army in Germany 1974~1993
Bamberg
Hanau
Mainz
Wiesbaden
Stuttgart
Kaiserslautern
Heidelberg

road a lot of trains.....many with my units artillery or rolling stock on them

I sincerely wish the US had as robust and efficient passenger rail system

thanks for the photos....several brought a memory

I lived in Wiesbaden for a bit over two years. Arizonastrasse in the Hainerberg housing area.

We were in MUHA* temps, then off post small town of Stadecken in a new row house, first time Mainz Finthen 83~87
91~93 last tour on Wiesbaden air base on post housing stairwell .....grrrrrrr

* Mainz University Housing Area.....small commissary and PX with the 4 story long bowling alley type temp housing
