I have two Digitraxx DCS 51's, one for my main line and one for a programming track.

The trains run fine, but I cannot get either to read a CV. I read the book and watch youtubes on various subjects.

I try dir and ops, etc, and it does not matter. When I enter a CV number and try to read or program something new, I get a nd message.

I have done it successfully in the past, but I am getting incurably old and have to retrain myself so often. I just cannot get to first base.

I want to do speed matching and MU's.

Any clues?

If your locos are DCC with sound you will need a programming track booster like this one

I never program on the main because you can't read the CVs, and don't know if your changes really took.

Other than this I don't know what may be happening.
And we are all getting old.
