I'm trying to identify this track. It appears to be O72. The outside rails bolt together and the center rail has a slip on connector.

Looks like prewar Lionel "T" rail track from the 1930's. It was made for the 700E scale Hudson and other scale locomotives of the time to run on.

The second post has what could have been filled with info on the T rail, but it looks like the link does not work anymore.
The thread is from 2005.

T rail goes for some good bucks as they have not been made for many many years.
It is around on auction sites and I guess e bay, but are kind of expensive.

That is why it never became popular because you had to bolt it together, even the curves.

What? It has joint bars to connect each rail end to end, not pins or joiners? That sounds cool.

Yep. I was thinking the same. Seems more robust that tending to
misshapen tubular track ends.
