Greetings,

I just wanted to introduce you to our new marketplace called UniSquare, a 100% free site that you might be interested in related to buying, selling and auctioning just about anything online, including model trains and accessories: http://www.unisquare.com/

Model Trains and Accessories: http://www.unisquare.com/buy/20874/toys-hobbies/model-rr-trains/

Basically, we are a 100% free online marketplace and alternative to eBay. There are no registration fees, no listing fees, no commission fees, no monthly fees, nor any other fees. eBay charges 9%-15% final value fees plus listing fees every 7-10 days (even if an item doesn't sell). Bonanza has a $0.50 fee or 3.5% commission fee per item, whichever is greater. On the other hand, UniSquare allows sellers to list as many items as they want, for as long as they want, on the site for free. Our new marketplace is quickly becoming more popular among buyers, sellers and even non-profit organizations because of this. It is also an opportunity for free marketing and advertising.

Sellers can add an unlimited number of items in both auction and fixed price format for free and upload up to 12 images free. We have a bulk upload script (.txt and .csv supported) which will allow members to bulk add/edit up to 10,000 items at a time. PayPal can be accepted as a payment method along with check, money order or payment upon pickup. Our site holds 28,000+ categories, which mirrors eBay's category structure and is great for those already used to eBay, and you can also import your hard earned eBay feedback to UniSquare. In addition, sellers can create free web stores with custom category names, color scheme, upload store logo and have custom store search feature. Sellers can also choose to accept best offers and create customized coupon/promo codes for their buyers. These features are also free.

Thanks for looking, you are more than welcome to buy and sell at UniSquare anytime!

Kind regards

Greetings Ed,

Sorry about that, the links should be fixed now!

Unfortunately, the marketplace is a little empty for the model trains since we are still new, but the rest of the site is much more active. Once there are more train listings there, people will begin finding them because your listings will begin quickly showing up in the search engines and 3rd party shopping sites for people looking for your products.

We just wanted to let you know of a place where you can list your items with no fees. We are currently marketing to the train collecting field in order to fill out our model trains marketplace, so you should see some more listings soon!

Kind regards
UniSquare

I wouldn't be too upset Ed, there's exactly one model train item listed, a cheap $20 toy set.
What do you mean John?
I have been looking for one of those for years now.:p:thumbsup:

The links work now, it is an alternative to fee bay I will check it out further.
I believe someone here tried this a while back for trains but I guess it never went anywhere.

I am surprised that somehow E bay can't sue you for copying some of their ideals?

What do you get out of it?
