Space at my home is limited, but I hated having my locomotives packed away as I want to run them occasionally... My house is also very dusty since I have a dirt driveway, so leaving them out in the open was not an option... I decided to buy some regular storage containers and make a base with track on it to place in them... I will screw the track down later...

I found out the hard way that when they put measurements on the label, they are the largest outside dimensions... I thought that they referred to the inside dimensions, silly me... The two 10" straights barely fit in there; 26" my butt

Nice. I've used some similar plastic bins to store some cars and a loco. I've wrapped them gently in some cotton micro-fiber towels ... the kind you would buy in a bundle for washing a car at Walmart and the like. Safe, soft protection, I hope.

No snow covering the driveway in NH today, huh? Full on spring here in New England!
