Welcome to the forum...

Those are getting very hard to find, being made from styrofoam, they just didn't hold up over time. I used one as a Christmas layout for awhile before time took its toll.

but I really want the HO version. Its what I had 20 years ago.
Only then I can begin to rebuild my Tyco collection. I know which Tyco cars and engines I had... but first comes the life-like HO layout.

I got mine this week! Bought it for $100 plus shipping!
I have removed the buildings in the center and already redid the "grass area" with the scenic spray cement and green grass "powder". Looks amazing already. Now im on a quest to find all the original lifelike buildings, starting with the two piece train station, which is easy to find.

I had one of those myself back in the early 70's. Miss it now and have lots of fond memories of running the trains on it and arranging the buildings in different positions. I still have the three houses to this day and have recently found a package of the little signs that came with that layout.
Someday it would be fun to maybe have one again, but will have to see.

Life Like H O Train System

I have recently come across one of these systems. I found it in the rafters of a home that was having an Estate Sale. It is brand new, never been out of the box. It contains everything shown on the outside of the box. In addition, there was a second box which contains an extension, which is placed in the middle. Apparently it had been purchased and never put together. I saw what someone was asking for it and was amazed. Joe

The guy on ebay asling $400 is way overpriced, I paid $100 for the layout and $50 to ship it.
Please sell me the extender!!! it adds 2 feet onto the 4-foot square layout and makes it into a 6x4 layout! please! i have been looking for it forever!! Send me a PM or an email! I would love to finally get my hands on an extender!

Extendo-layout! Way cool. Great find.

I wonder if the colors were different from the start, or whether the darker green has changed over time/exposure, with the lighter green from a "fresh" package?

Cheers,
