Hello,
I purchased a Weaver Baldwin 2-8-0 Consolidation with sound #1811 LP without an owners manual. I have not been able to find one on line, does anyone have one to share or know how I can get one? Thanks

I don't have Weaver Baldwin 2-8-0 or instructions for this particular engine. However, I just bought a Weaver Steam Engine with QSI electronics (ProtoSound). The directions are probably the same if your engine has the same electronics.

It is important to change out the battery to prevent from damaging the electronics. Also, you need to use transformer that is not chopped sine waves which can scramble the electronics. Lionel CW-80 transformer uses chopped sine waves. I used an postwar ZW transformer to run mine engine when I got it but now I sent it off to be upgraded to ProtoSounds 3.
