In that pic it's being towed to a UP shop for repaint just a quickly as they could get it there.
Union Pacific was not happy.

I read that the guys that did this were not happy either.
Said it cost something like $10,000.00 to do.
That's what I heard anyway.

They did a pretty slick job on it so I can see why they were unhappy.

Goes to show you how secure the rails are today.
You would think there would be a patrol guarding against something like this?
I guess that is better then a terrorist planting a remote control bomb on it.

Hmmm...criminal damage to property and tresspassing. I wonder what else they could add to the charges?

All I have to say is, it's gotta be a crowd pleaser.
Except for the windshields, they should've left it as-is, and ran it like that.

I think it's awesome!! Anybody who doesn't like this has no sense of humor! As long as it's in storage, they should have left it as is, and maybe even promoted it in advertising..."U.P., The tiger on rails!", or some such.

Besides, with the damage the rioters are doing these days and not getting charged with anything, what these people did is nothing in comparison.

Actually, this was done back in 2017 at the latest.
Prolly all the safety and warning stickers are covered up now along with the TSA safety reflectors.

I can picture some genius bragging about doing this on social media. Did they ever find out who did it and were they prosecuted?
