My engine came with 671-225 , some say it works with pellets or liquid, then there is the 8141-55k kit with 27ohm resistor for liquid, its cheaper. Do they interchange? I will only use liquid.

Your smoke unit will work with either pellets or liquid. My postwars run liquid fine, the only thing I had to do was clean out the old pellet residue and replace the old worn out batting.
