Hello from a newbie

I am planning on purchasing an HO scale train set for my 7 year old son's birthday this week. I want to get something that will last as he was absolutely loved trains since the age of 2. I expect this hobby to continue for many years. Does anyone have a recomendation?

I was looking at the Bachmann Overland Limited set, but looked at the reviews and was disappointed that in 2 out of 3 cases wheels were falling off during the first use!

Thank you!

Thanks all!

With some input from my son I ended up purchasing him an Athearn diesel/passenger train set. He is very excited. Hopefully some quality father-son time will be in our future.
