I always here people use different wire gauge from trans former to track then across track know i notice on my lay out is 5x 10 when train is on other side it slows i do have and in climb i have to givit more power know do i hook anothe wire to track for more power or wire gauge. Any input would help thanks.

You need a couple of extra clip-ons to feed power through-out your lay-out...16 or 18 gauge wire should do it.
