Just purchased the above. Did not buy the power supply. I have and old Radio Shack AC adapter: 500 mA, 12VDC. Can i use this as my power supply without hurting the Static King? Thanks for the help.

Yup, i did read that.........and therefore????........Does that mean the milliamps will burn out the Woodland unit if attached, or does it mean that the adaptor is more than up to the task?

The Radio Shack power supply is capable of supplying 500ma. The static applicator only requires 230 ma to operate and will only draw that much current from whatever is supplying the 12 vdc. It should work fine.

Unless that old Radio Shack adapter outputs more than the rated 12 volts you should be OK. I always check the output with a multimeter, some of those old power supplies were very load dependent in getting the voltage down to 12volts.
