Always liked that strange looking diesel but at $1200 with the ancient TMCC command system, a big no thank you. Maybe if it was an AA combo I would consider it.

It has ERR Cruise designed by the same guy that designed Legacy. 100 speed steps vs 200. Who's counting? Sounds close to Legacy lite.
That said my interest in SP is only pre 1950. Hats off to Scott for making these though.

I am choking on the price too, but since I am moving to 2 Rail mine will be DCC.

The price is high but Scott Broke it down because everything on this locomotive is unique. There is NO other locomotive that holds sentimental value for me besides the KM which is why I feel okay going with the price.

 

If the memories mean that much to you & you can afford it; I say go for it. :thumbsup:

 

That seems like a lot. I think the last diesel I got from Scott was an ABS-bodied SD9, for about $700 or so.

The KM ML-4000 was a strange loco. I'd love to have an AA set, but not at those prices.

 

I like it and can see why it is special to you. Sometimes the price is secondary. This is one of those times.

 

That is true. If there was a decent looking non brass HO model, I would go for that instead, but only the old Rivarossi model exists and it's a poor specimen to say the least. The brass HO models are as much if not more in most cases.
