Hello

I started looking at the Dapol and Hornby A4 Class models.
Hornby's site has the model: R3395TTS RailRoad LNER, A4 Class, 4-6-2, 4468 'Mallard' - Era 3 (DCC Fitted - With Sound), priced at just £199.99

Rails of Sheffield is taking orders for the model: Dapol BL-001-010 Black Label Class A4 Seagull LNER Garter Blue Unvalanced 4-6-2 No.33 Steam Locomotive - DCC Sound & Smoke for £399

Excluding the smoke feature on the Dapol model, the two models are quite similar.
Which model do you think should I choose? Is the quality of the products from these two brands comparable ?
Thanks

I highly recommend Sam's Train Review. He does not accept product endorsements so his reviews are sometimes scathing, sometimes enthusiastic, and they are always spot on. Once Oxford Rails pulled a Dean Goods off the market as it was so bad and replaced it with a fine running re-boot. After his reviews, all my purchases have been most excellent. Here is a link to what he says about the Hornby Mallard. I have one, and it works and looks great.
