Booted from the S Scale OGR Forum

After 8 or so years of enjoying the OGR S Scale forum, I was booted last week. I posted a compliment for a gentleman's great custom paint and decal job on an American Models RS-3 because it was in the L&N livery, a very rare sight in S scale. I am a life-long L&N fan having grown up in Louisville. The gentleman then replied that he was looking for another American Models RS-3 so that he could do it in a different L&N scheme. That triggered a thought about letting him have one that I had in a stack of forthcoming projects. I just instinctively offered it to help him because I won't be using it soon. But that kind offer triggered their bots - selling in a thread where it wasn't permitted. I wrote and asked the specific reason why. They responded with an answer that was partially true. I wrote back explaining what had happened which they could see for themselves if they bothered, and they have ghosted me. I am not a dealer. I rarely sell anything; I was just helping him out because I had excess. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. So I will continue participating here and in the several S scale FB groups that I am in.

Rusty - I have joined the club.

Yes I did. I went to their site to see what RS-3's were selling for so I could price the one I was selling. I was shocked to find the first factory painted L&N locomotive I have ever seen in S. I bought it immediately and a good friend of mine, also from Louisville, bought two.

Man. Those bots are out of control.

I've read some stuff on that forum, never posted... I thought I may have had an account there since it looks so familiar, but the account bot didn't recognize my email address, so I guess I never created one. Fine by me, ain't nobody got time for dat! :)
